The Why

I believe in meeting my students where they are physically and mentally. It is never too late to begin this journey of longevity and mind body connection. Pilates is a supportive exercise designed to help you gain strength and flexibility in a safe and low impact way.

Having completed all levels of Balanced Body Mat, Reformer and Apparatus training (520 hours) and 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. I am currently studying Level 1 Qi Gong.

My return to home during the pandemic allowed me to prioritize family and deepen my engagement with Pilates and Yoga. Now settled on my farm in Blue Ridge Summit, PA, I endeavor to embody the belief that a steady practice enhances the mind-body connection and contributes to longevity and anti-aging. The decision to embrace a quieter life, has created a profound internal shift towards prioritizing community, well-being and personal fulfillment. I look forward to sharing the medicine of Pilates with you.

While I am still a filmmaker at heart I feel very lucky to be able to also embrace and share my enthusiasm for Pilates....what Joseph Pilates called Body Contrology!
I’ve been practicing Pilates for nearly as long as I've been making movies... over 30 years, having studied in Los Angeles under Licea Perea and Siri Dharma Galiano - both of whom received their certification from Pilates elder, Romana Kryzanowska. I also had the great benefit of having worked for several years with Karen Quick of Live Arts LA who studied with Pilates
elder Ron Fletcher. My training is traditional and I feel fortunate to have mentors taught directly by these first generation teachers who studied directly under Joseph and Clara Pilates.
